祖谷に畳の文化がもたらされる以前、素朴な板張りの床は、囲炉裏の煙や煤で燻され、そして日々の生活の中拭き続けられ、 深く黒光りをするようになりました。床も、柱も、桁梁も、屋根も、黒。 部屋の隅に置かれた行灯の光が、柔らかく床に反射します。

Before the tatami culture was introduced to Iya, the rustic wooden floors were smoked by the smoke and soot from the fireplace, and then wiped in the course of daily life until they took on a deep black glow. The floor, pillars, beams, and roof are all black. The light from the lantern placed in the corner of the room reflects softly on the floor.

囲炉裏のある表座敷と居間、その奥に 3 畳ほどの寝間が 2 部屋ございます。300 余年前とほぼ変わらぬインテリアを残しながら、床の下に床暖房備えています。 部屋の使い方に決まりはありません。 布団は押入れに準備してあります。座敷で広々とお休み頂くもよし、寝間でゆっくり休まれるもよし。 お客様の過ごし安い場所で、過ごしたい時間をお過ごしください

There are 2 rooms with a front room with a hearth, a living room, and a sleeping room of about 3 tatami mats in the back. It has underfloor heating under the floor, while retaining the same interior as it was over 300 years ago. There are no rules on how to use the room. The futon is prepared for the closet. You can take a rest in the tatami room, or you can take a rest in the sleeping room. Please spend the time you want to spend in a cheap place

伝統的なインテリアに、アジア各地からアレックスが集めて来たアンティークがシンプルに色彩を与えます。すっきりと IH クッキングヒーターを収めた システムキッチンに、篪庵のハイライトの一つでもあるアイランド カウンターがあります。水屋箪笥を改造したそれには、大きな栃の無垢板を誂えました。歴史を感じる趣と、力強い自然の調和ができました。 御膳や、お盆、篪庵にある好きな古道具を使って食事を楽しんでください。

Antiques collected by Alex from all over Asia simply add color to the traditional interior. In his system kitchen, which neatly houses his IH cooking heater, there is an island counter, which is also one of the highlights of Chiiori. For the remodeled Mizuya chest, I made a large solid plate of horse chestnut. I was able to create a strong harmony between the taste of history and the powerful nature.
